Payment of deposit and balance:
Payment terms: 40% deposit per person at the time of booking. Balance due 7 working days prior to commencement of arrangements. Payments (deposit & final balance) may be made by direct bank transfer to our Nairobi bank account (details will be included with our confirmation invoice) or by credit card, you will find pesapal link at the bottom of our website (you will add 4% card commission ).

Balance can also be paid by cash in USD, Euros, Pound Or KSH.

Nb: USD Notes older than 2006 are not accepted, Kindly bring 2006 and above.

Kids
From 2 years to 11 years are treated as children, They pay 75% of the adult price when sleeping alone and 50% when sleeping with the parent/guardian
From 12 years and above, they are treated as adults when it comes to payment

Cancellation Charges:
Our cancellation charges are determined by the fact that once we have booked with hotels and safari camps/lodges, they will charge us a cancellation fee if we cancel a booking. We try to keep such charges to a minimum and they are as follows, as a percentage of the total invoice charges:
• Bookings cancelled or amended up to 120 days before commencement of the safari incur a 10% cancellation charge.
• Cancellation or amendment less than 120 days and up to 60 days prior to commencement of the safari: 20% cancellation charge.
• Cancellation or amendment less than 60 days but up to 30 days prior to commencement of the safari 50% refund, 50% cancellation charge.
• Cancellation or amendment less than 30 days but up to 15 days prior to commencement of the safari: 25% refund, 75% cancellation charge.
• Cancellation or amendment less than 15 days or more than 3 days prior to commencement of the safari: 10% refund and 90% cancellation charge.
• Cancellation or amendment 3 days or less before commencement of the safari – nil refund, 100% cancellation charge.
• Please note that any refunds due to you in the event of cancellation can be credited only to the original card used for making the initial payment.

Accommodation Facilities and Seasonal occurrences:

We are not in control of Some factors, some accommodations are not operational in some season’s especially low season, some because of maintenance and some is at owners discretion. Same case, swimming pools have to be cleaned and sometimes emptied and maintenance work can affect their availability..

Public holidays and religious festivals throughout the year (mainly Ramadan) may have an effect on the ambience of a destination and the reliability some facilities.

Wild Animals:

Whilst on any African safari, your may be taken into close contact with wild animals. We rarely have attacks by wild animals, but we cannot guarantee that this will not occur.

Therefore, neither Bigmac Africa Safaris, nor its employees, nor its suppliers can be held responsible for any injury or incident on the safari. Please note that many safari camps are unfenced and animals are able to wander through the camps at all times of the day and night.

Claims and Complaints

In the unlikely event that the client has a complaint against the company, the Company must be informed immediately, in order that an opportunity is afforded to the company to investigate the situation and provide redress. If the client has any further complaints, these must be lodged in writing to the Company within 1 week of the tour end date. If these procedures are not followed, the Company will not start or continue any such investigation of said complaint.

Travel Insurance:

It is of importance that each Safari / Tour member in your party has adequate and comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation or curtailment, as well as medical expenses, emergency travel, personal accident, personal baggage and money loss.

This should be arranged at the time of confirmation and deposit payment to cover you for cancellation from the time of booking. Please note that it is your responsibility to take out insurance, with the cost for your account, and that Natural World Kenya Safaris Ltd cannot be liable in any way whatsoever you should fail to do so.

If you are coming to East Africa from overseas, we request that you provide us with your insurance provider’s name, together with the policy number and the insurance company’s emergency contact telephone number in case of any emergency whilst you are traveling.

Illness or Disability

If you are suffering from any illness or disability, or are undergoing any medical treatment, you must declare this openly and honestly to Bigmac Africa safaris at the booking stage of your trip.
In a similar manner, if you are affected by any condition that may affect you or others during your trip in any way, you must comprehensively advise Bigmac Africa safaris at the time of your booking.
It is your responsibility to make arrangements for the provision of any medication or treatment while on tour.

Failing to declare any conditions, illnesses, disability or the like, will constitute a breach of these terms and conditions and can result in you being excluded from your booked trip or excursion without refund of any payment.

 

Liability

Wilderness safaris in  Africa carries some measure of inherent risk including, but not limited to, the hazards of traveling in underdeveloped areas where road conditions and other facilities may be poor or lacking; the forces of nature; and accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation.

Bigmac Africa safaris accept bookings with specific conditions and we act only as agents of the passenger in all matters relating to hotels, sightseeing tours, restaurants, all forms of transportation and other services which may be included in these tours. Bigmac Africa safaris may purchase these services from suppliers and other independent contractors, without warranties and representations from them and thus such services are not subject to its control.

The right is reserved to substitute hotels of equivalent standard and to make any changes in the itinerary where deemed necessary or caused as a result of adverse road or weather conditions, disruptions to airline schedules or any other valid reason.

While all precautions are taken to ensure the passenger’s safety and enjoyment on these tours, Bigmac Africa safaris shall not be liable for death, injury, delay, loss or damage arising from any cause and in any manner whatsoever or change of itinerary or act, including any acts of terrorism, acts of God and government, neglect, accident, error or omission caused by any of these suppliers or independent contractors, their employees, representatives or any event beyond our control.

All baggage is carried at the passenger’s own risk, and Bigmac Africa safaris reserve the right to exclude certain baggage at its discretion.

The airlines used to provide flights within Kenya are subject to international air conventions limiting their liability; the limitations of liability are contained on the reverse side of the airline ticket and form part of the terms and conditions of this package.

Changes and Alterations

“Force Majeure” means, in relation to African Safari Experts, any circumstances beyond the reasonable control of African Safari Experts (including, but not limited to, acts of God, explosion, flood, fire, war, threat of war, sabotage, civil disturbance, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions, animals, wildlife or other unexpected occurrences).

The Company shall not be deemed to be in breach of these terms and conditions or otherwise be liable to the Client, by reason of delay in performance, or by non-performance, of any of its obligations hereunder to the extent that any such delay or non-performance is due to any Force Majeure.

If the Company is affected by Force Majeure it shall be entitled to, and may in its sole and absolute discretion, vary or cancel any itinerary or arrangement in relation to the tour or safari.

No refunds are given for circumstances arising beyond the Company’s control, necessitating alternative arrangements being made to ensure the safety and/or further participation and enjoyment of the tour or safari.

In the unlikely event of a vehicle breakdown that is beyond the Company’s control and immediate repair, the Company will arrange to have the spare part sent to the current location in the fastest possible time. The Company reserves the right to alter the itinerary accordingly in order to make up any time lost due to any unforeseen circumstances.

The company reserves the right to cancel a tour without prior notification.

After your booking has been confirmed, should you wish to make any changes to your itinerary every effort to accommodate your requests will be made based on availability. However, there may extra costs involved to accommodate your request. These costs are in addition to the fee quoted to you for your initial safari. Normal cancellation fees apply if you wish to postpone your departure.

Refunds

Bigmac Africa safaris does its best to ensure that all anticipated accommodation is available as planned, there shall be no claim of any nature whatsoever against Bigmac Africa safaris for a refund either in the whole or part, if any accommodation or excursion is unavailable and a reasonable alternative is  found. If the guest is unable to use any service provided in the itinerary, then there are no refunds due.

Transport:

It should be noted that the types of vehicles used for safari transport on rough roads in East Africa are different from tour vehicles on the highways in developed countries and normally they do not have air-conditioning other than the standard ventilation fan.

The Safari 4×4 Land Cruisers used throughout East Africa for overland road safaris on the main highways beyond the parks are of a standardized design with sliding passenger windows.

Electricity:

In most of the safari lodges where electricity is provided by a generator, these are turned off late at night until early morning the following day.

In Kenya the general voltage is 240 and the frequency is 50 Hz. The British three rectangular blade plugs are common. Some lodges and camps only have power in the early mornings and evenings. Batteries may be recharged in camps during the day but it is wise to double check with the camp manager.

As the sockets may vary, a ‘Traveler’s Adaptor Set’ is recommended. Voltage sometimes fluctuates and whilst power cuts are rare, they are not unknown. It is useful to carry a torch.

The Roads:

The roads between the parks may have rough stretches and the overland journeys can be lengthy as tour vehicles are limited to a maximum speed of 80 KM per hour.

Local flights between national parks / game reserves are an (extra) option when overland transfers are exceptionally long.

Law and Jurisdiction:

All terms and conditions of this agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance to the laws of Kenya, and any litigation necessary to resolve disputes between the parties shall be held in the courts located in Kenya where such a dispute can be solved through arbitration.
