6 Days Samburu-Nakuru - Masai Mara Bird Watching Safari


DAY 1: NAIROBI - SAMBURU SAFARI
 Drive north through cultivations of coffee, sisal and pineapple to the northern frontier district and on to Samburu National Reserve. Evening game drive in this reserve famous for Yellow-billed Hornbill, Bristle-crowned Starling, Vereaux's Eagle-owl, Night Heron, Palm-Nut Vulture ,Pygmy Falcon, Verreaux's Eagle,Donaldson-Smith's Sparrow Weaver ,Red-headed Weaver  and exclusive game viewing. Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.

DAY 2: SAMBURU FULL DAY
Morning and afternoon game drives in this exclusive game sanctuary in Kenya, noted for its bird species named above and reticulated Giraffe and Grevy Zebra, olyx and other wildlife species. Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.

Day 3: SAMBURU- LAKE NAKURU
Depart Samburu in the morning and drive to the Great Rift Valley viewing sceneries enroute, arriving to the Pink Lake often referred so due to its Great masses of Flamingos. After lunch proceed for game drive in the Park with numerous Animals. Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.

Day 4. LAKE NAKURU -MAASAI MARA
Morning game drive, Watch and photograph Birds including a variety of water birds (Yellow-billed Pelicans, Marabou Storks, Hammerkops, African Fish Eagles, goliath heron, pied kingfisher and verreaux eagle.etc.)  and Animals , breakfast and depart for Misaim Mara, arrive to Masai Mara at the afternoon, followed by early evening game drive in Masai Mara which is famous for its Kenyan vulture (Egyptian, Hooded, Griffon, Nubian, White-backed and White-headed),large and highly conspicuous Common Ostrich, to the small (but still conspicuous) Cardinal Quelea, White-bellied Go-away-bird, Bare-faced Go-away-bird, Grey Plantain-eater, three Woodpeckers (Golden-tailed, Little Spotted and Fine-banded, Blue Quail&Jackson's Widowbird (rare) Sand-grouse, & thick-knee and  also black manned lions and yearly migration of wildebeests. Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.

DAY 5: MASAI MARA
A full day spent game viewing a cross the rich, trees studded grassland and rolling hills. You will have your picnic lunch inside the park.  Apart from the birds species, the famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plain game, black-maned lions, leopard and cheetah but also contains numerous elephant and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.

Day 6. NAIROBI
Pre-breakfast game drive. Return to campsite for breakfast. After breakfast break up the camp and depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
